The people who run
every tour we make
We plan, organise and run every tour ourselves, and that takes people who know Japan from the inside and hold themselves to the standard our guests expect. These are the roles we are building the company around.
The roles
You work on the brand's own channels and content: the journal, the fortnightly letter, the social accounts and the photography that carries the tours, with our team in Kyoto setting the direction and reading every piece before it goes out. It is real work on a real brand, in the canon's voice, and it is an internship with the possibility of a contract afterwards. Bring an eye for the quiet and the precise, a feel for the seasons of Japan, and writing that reads well slowly.
You walk our guests through Kyoto for a day: the gardens, the temple precincts, the lanes of Gion and the counters that do not advertise, at the unhurried pace our journeys keep, working with our team in Kyoto. Japanese and English are required; other languages are welcome. What matters is the reading of people, the knowledge that comes from living here, and the temperament to make a day feel effortless to the guest.
You open the Singapore market for Luxury Japan Travel: the private banks, the family offices, the clubs and the advisers whose clients travel the way our guests do, introduced one relationship at a time. You know how a discreet recommendation travels in Singapore, you are comfortable with a long conversation before a first booking, and you represent a company that plans, arranges and runs every journey itself.
What we look for
Knowledge from the inside
We value real knowledge over familiarity. Our people know Japan the way one knows home: its seasons, its customs, its quieter registers.
Reading the guest
Private touring is the reading of people. Needs anticipated, days adjusted without fuss, and moments that feel effortless to the guest because the effort was ours.
Quiet excellence
Nothing loud. Precise, thoughtful and refined, in every detail and every exchange, because that is what our guests came for.
Trust
Our people work across Japan with autonomy. We trust them to make the right call on the ground, and they do.
